Dr. Jamie Rodriguez is the Owner/Optometrist of Elevate Eye Care. She is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but proud to be here in the beautiful city of Boise. She graduated summa cum laude from McPherson College with a degree in Biochemistry.  She then earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree from Northeastern State University College of Optometry and went on to complete a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Hospital.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Dr. Rodriguez grew up in a professional eye care environment and knew at an early age that this was her calling. Her father, Jaime Rodriguez, has been an Ultrasonographer at Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City, OK for over 45 years. DMEI is one of the most prestigious eye care facilities in the United States and Dr. Rodriguez had the incredible opportunity to work and learn alongside world-class ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other eye care professionals (including her dear father). She gained invaluable experience during her time there, including the management and care of ocular disease and eye emergencies.

ACHIEVEMENTS
A recent notable achievement by Dr. Rodriguez was her hike of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2022. Setting off by herself, she not only had the adventure of a lifetime but also had plenty of time to think. During this time of reflection, she solidified her love of optometry and her dream of becoming an independent, small-business owner. Thus was born, Elevate Eye Care.

INTERESTS
Dr. Rodriguez is new to Boise but already loves this charming city. A few of her favorite activities include discovering new restaurants, attending music concerts, and going for bike rides along the Greenbelt. She hopes to add to the growth of Boise in a productive and professional way and looks forward to meeting you!
